Our 2017 Cabernet Franc (75% Cabernet Franc, 16% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot, & 1% Malbec) barrel aged 23 months in 90% New French and Hungarian Oak “springs from the glass ”with oodles of “sexy” seduction with exotic spices, blueberries, and blue velvet cake. Jeb Dunnuck said, “It’s a worthy follow on to the stunning 2016” and we couldn’t agree more. Once again, the label comes to life (with the free Heavy Metal AR app).

Tasting Notes
"The 2017 Cabernet Franc is a spectacular showing. This opens to a wonderful complex aromatic profile of ripe dark cherries, cassis and black raspberries that are joined by exotic spices, mocha, florals, fresh vanilla and hints of dark chocolate that all take shape. On the palate this is full-bodied and voluptuous, structured with gorgeous polished tannins that create a wonderful seamless texture. It goes on to display excellent depth, with a ripe core focused around flavors of dark fruit, exotic spices and dark chocolate that continue to expand beautifully into the velvety finish. While this is absolutely delicious now, however it also has the potential to age gracefully for many years to come." — International Wine Report, 96 Points
Awards
Composed of 76% Cabernet Franc, 17% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec, coming from Howell Mountain, Pritchard Hill and Atlas Peak, the 2017 Cabernet Franc displays a deep, vibrant garnet-purple color. It springs from the glass with bold black raspberry, Morello cherries, wild blueberries and spice cake scents plus hints of menthol, pencil shavings and red roses. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers bags of juicy red and blue fruit layers with a solid, grainy texture and plenty of freshness to support, finishing long and perfumed. 88 cases were made." — Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, 94+ Points
