Tasting Notes
"The 2017 Hertelendy ‘Legend’ Cabernet Sauvignon is the crown jewel from Hertelendy Vineyards. It is an absolute stunning wine that begins with aromas of blackcurrants, crème de cassis and blueberries, which are woven together with exotic spices, dark chocolate, loam and hints of sage that all burst from the glass. On the palate this full-bodied Cabernet is layered and opulent, displaying outstanding overall structure, with an incredible dense core that shows remarkable concentration and depth. It all comes together seamlessly on the long, plush finish which continues to exude loads of dark red fruits and chocolate. Overall, this is a fantastic release that offers instant appeal, however it also shows potential to age for decades." — International Wine Report, 98 Points

"A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot, 9% Petit Verdot and 4% Malbec, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Hertelendy Legend comes from Howell Mountain, Pritchard Hill and Atlas Peak. Deep garnet-purple colored, it comes hurtling out of the glass with all guns blazing, with sparking notes of blackcurrant pastilles, blackberry pie, chocolate-covered cherries and boysenberries plus suggestions of yeast extract, roasted nuts, black truffles and mocha. Medium to full-bodied, the palate bursts with vibrant black fruit flavors, framed by firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long with great vibrancy and expression. 76 cases were made." — Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, 96 Points
