"Composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, the deep purple-black colored 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Hertelendy Legend comes barreling out of the glass with profound scents of blackcurrant cordial, blackberry pie and blueberry compote with touches of mocha, licorice, black truffles and cedar chest. Showing the vintage’s elegant, pure, focused style, it has solid concentration, beautiful overall balance, building tannins, and a great, great finish. Offering both elegance and power, it has an almost Bordeaux-like vibe, and while approachable today, it’s going to benefit from 4-6 years of bottle age and keep for 30 years or more. On the palate this is full-bodied, yet beautifully balanced by its notable acidity which provides wonderful lift and a wonderful sense of freshness.
