"The 2019 Cabernet Franc is deep garnet-purple in color. It needs a good amount of swirling to unlock notes of chocolate-covered cherries, blackberry compote, and blueberry preserves, leading to suggestions of wild roses, charcoal, and Sichuan pepper with an alluring touch of jasmine tea. The structure on the full-bodied palate is rock solid and beautifully defined, nicely framing the opulent black fruits and floral layers, finishing with epic length and depth. It instantly bursts open with wonderful aromatics of ripe blue and black fruit, which is joined together by violets, tobacco with hints of roasted coffee and traces of sweet oak. On the palate this is full-bodied with a gorgeous rich, velvety texture and outstanding depth. This shows notable power, yet remains well balanced, as it delivers layers of ripe dark fruits, dark chocolate and spice flavors that continue to build on the palate, before heading into the long, voluptuous finish. "The 2019 Cabernet Franc is a blend of 75% Cabernet Franc, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 3% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it leaps from the glass with alluring scents of crushed black cherries, kirsch and blueberry preserves, plus hints of pencil shavings, cinnamon stick and damp soil, with a waft of wild sage. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm, grainy texture and beautifully bright acidity supporting the red and blue fruit layers, finishing on a lingering fragrant earth note.
