Creme de cassis, blueberry compote, and black cherries jump from the glass, with suggestions of candied violets, espresso, wild sage, and spice cake in the undercurrent. "The flagship from this estate, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Hertelendy Legend is based on 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, and the rest Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, aged 23 months in French and Hungarian oak. Sporting a deep purple hue as well a darker currant and black cherry fruit profile, it has lots of classic tobacco and leafy herb notes, some spicy oak, full-bodied richness, terrific overall balance, and a great, great finish.
